Probably a bit of a silly question: Are you going to watch the Oscars tonight? I'm looking forward to Ellen DeGeneres presenting. She is so funny! Helen Mirren is my hot tip for an award as actress in a leading role (no offence, Dame Judi).

I think Mirren is the closest thing to a lock there's ever been at the Oscars. If she doesn't win at this point it would embarrassing. I actually forgot the Oscars were on tonight.

How else would I pretend to know who they are going to choose? I was glad for her nevertheless because she deserves the award. That sparkly dress looked nice on her too. Of course we're all bonkers over here in Germany over "The Lives of Others" (which I personally haven't seen ). The Oscars are just so big, and to get one means a lot to people over here. I btw noticed that the director looks a bit like Colin Firth. I was also pleased about "An Inconvenient Truth", although I believe that was a (justified imo) political decision. I loved how Ellen was doing her gags with the audience. Especially trying to pitch her script to Martin Scorsese and Clint Eastwood pretending to be hurt by that. ;D Oh, and I loved Kate Winslet's dress!
